The Jefferson County Veterans Association is hosting its annual picnic on 18 July, 3 pm, at Friendship Park Smithfield, OH. We will honor WWII vets and commemorate end of the war 70 years ago. The Jefferson County Historical Association will have an exhibit of WWII artifacts, including an Army Air Corp uniform and original Medal of Honor awarded Charles ‘Commando’ Kelly for gallantry in Italy, and sheet music of the era. ALL MILITARY VETERANS AND ACTIVE DUTY INVITED.
