Event: Poster Pal Event

Each year a county school is invited to bring their 8th grade students for a guided tour of the museum. Following the tour, the students are asked to divide into pairs, or 3 students, to work together in creating an artistic poster relating in some way to the history of the area and what they may have seen or learned on their tour. They are given about 3 weeks to put their work together. The posters are then brought to the museum and placed on display. One evening, the parents and teachers are invited to come to the museum to see the work submitted by the students. The display is also open to guests and family and there is no charge. This event is held on or around March 5, 2016. Details will be provided to the student by the school.
